First Call Parent Training

First Call Parents are parents of young children with Down syndrome who speak with and offer support to families at the time of diagnosis or suspected diagnosis of Down syndrome. First Call Parents are often the first people a new family may speak to about their diagnosis. The goal of the First Call Parent is to answer questions about raising a child with Down syndrome, to offer support, and to provide connections to resources.
